As a fourth generation Japanese-American, I was raised immersed in a cultural amalgamation of values and traditions with numerous global influences. However I felt distant from the sources in which these traditions arose, yearning to discover the roots of my upbringing. Thus, travel started as the gateway for me to rediscover my cultural heritage, but it has since expanded into a way to explore the richness of the world we live in, and celebrate the new multicultural traditions we practice today.
